EJC PRESIDENT KANTOR RECEIVES HIGHEST AWARD OF THE FEDERATION OF JEWISH COMMUNITIES OF RUSSIA
The highest award of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia, the Fiddler on the Roof, has been attributed to Dr. Moshe Kantor for his philanthropic activities and especially for making possible this year’s March of the Living at Auschwitz-Birkenau. Dr. Kantor, who is president of the European Jewish Congress, was named philanthropist of the year.

BULGARIAN PRESIDENT ATTENDS CHANUKAH CEREMONY AT SOFIA SYNAGOGUE
The President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Roumen Radev, and other politicians joined the Jewish congregation of Sofia for its Chanukah celebration at the city’s Great Synagogue on Sunday evening. As a relatively new President, this was Radev’s first participation in the main Chanukah ceremony.
