Israelis are going to the election booths for the second time in five months.

The biggest contender to Prime Minister Netanyahu is an ex-General, named Benny Gantz. While everyone seems to think that Gantz is a nice guy, very few Israelis believe he has the ability to be a good Prime Minister like Netanyahu. Unfortunately, the elections are not about whether he is better than Netanyahu, but about a hatred to rid the country of Netanyahu. Just as the left in the USA despise President Trump so too the left in Israel despise Netanyahu. Unfortunately, the last time the left was in charge of Israel, they were so weak against our enemies that terror was a daily occurence, and our leaders literally trusted our enemies with guns that have since been used against us. It was the left-wing Rabin government in 1992 that turned arch-terrorist Yassar Arafat into a “peace” partner. Then all hell broke lose.

As Israelis go to the polls tomorrow, it is important to keep in mind that Benny Gantz has clearly stated that he wants to establish a far-left government, as former Prime Minister Rabin did back in 1992. It seems that Israelis have to be reminded how bad life was under the last far-left government we had.

Hopefully, enough Israelis will go to the voting booths tomorrow and vote for the parties that will allow Netanyahu to continue as Prime Minister. Otherwise, we will possibly have an extreme left government that will be weak in standing up to our enemies, return to an attitude of appeasement, and instead enable them to return to their horrendous terrorizing behavior as back in the early 90’s and then again in the early 2000’s leftist Prime Minister Ehud Barak led the country.

Why Elections Again?

Back in the month of April Israelis went to the voting booths to vote, but even though Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu won the mandate to put together a majority coalition of 61 Parliament members, he was unable to make a government and the country is returning to the election booths on September 17th.

As can be imagined, Israelis now have election fatigue. We already went through this half a year ago and nobody is in the mood for a round two.

Unfortunately, election season is when the ugly side of society gets exposed with political leaders and election campaigns promoting negative messages about the other contenders and sectors of society. Israelis are sick of this election environment.

The truth is that Israeli society on a whole is more unified than ever, even with the diversity in our society.
