Kedves Barátaink!
Mély fájdalommal tudatjuk, hogy Múzeumunk megalapítója és első igazgatója, Josef Lustig z”l (1926-2016) elhunyt.
A temetés ma, 2016. május 17-én 16:00 órakor lesz Cfáton, Izraelben.
A család sivát ül cfáti otthonában (rechov Nec 1).
Őszinte részvétünk Chavának, Roninak, Oritnak és a család tagjainak.
Josef feleségével, Chavával kezet öltve
harminc évvel ezelőtt kezdeményezte a Múzeum felállítását
és magával sodort lelkes, odaadó barátokat.
Őneki és nekik köszönhetően létesült ez a példás, egyedülálló intézmény,
a következő nemzedékek kincsestára.
Josef húsz éven át önkéntesen igazgatta a Múzeumot.
Hivatalos tisztje befejezése után is élénk részt vett
a Múzeum mindennapi életében,
gazdagította látogatóink élményét és inspirálta a munkatársakat
mindaddig, amíg egészségi állapota ezt lehetővé tette.
Emlékét mindörökre szeretettel őrizzük szívünkben és a Múzeumban.
Emléke legyen áldott.

Memorial Museum of Hungarian Speaking Jewry
It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the death of Josef Lustig z”l (1926-2016), the founder and the first director of the Museum.
The funeral will take place today, May 17, 2016 at 16:00 in Zefat, Israel.
The family will sit shiva at their home in Zefat (1 Netz Street)
Our deepest condolences to Chava, Ron, Orit and the family members.
Josef hand in hand with his wife, Chava initiated the foundation of the Museum thirty years ago and swept along passionate and devoted friends.
Thanks to him and to them this unique and precious institution came to be,
a treasury for the next generations.
Josef served as the director voluntarily for twenty years.
Upon the conclusion of his official post,
he continued to actively take part in the day-to-day operation of the Museum. He enriched our visitors’ experience and inspired our staff
as long as his health condition allowed him.
We shall keep his memory alive in our hearts.
May he rest in peace.
