Rouhani: Iran wants good relations ‘with all countries we officially recognize’

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani addressed the Davos World Economic Forum in Switzerland on Thursday, saying he wanted to have good relations „with all countries we officially recognize,” in an apparent suggestion that Tehran does not have plans on seeking relations with Israel.
Rouhani said that Iran was committed to reaching a comprehensive agreement with the West on its nuclear program, which he insisted was purely peaceful.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told CNN that he blamed the White House for an exaggerated description of the six-month nuclear deal.

„The international community must not be swayed by Iranian President Hassan Rohani’s deceptive ways, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu”, warned Thursday, shortly after the Iranian leader addressed the World Economic Forum in Davos.
President Shimon Peres responded to the speech given by Iranian President saying that „the most significant remarks were the ones he didn’t make.”

The Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court on Thursday extended the remand of the Jerusalem exterminator who is alleged to have negligently sprayed toxic material in the apartment of a family of six that left two sisters dead. Abigail and Yael Gross were laid to rest Thursday afternoon, while their brothers, Michael, 7, and Yitzhak, 5, continue to fight for their lives. Meanwhile a mother and her two children suspected of being poisoned were rushed to the hospital. It was the same exterminator that sprayed their house as well .

The ministry of education headed by Minster Shay Piron is planning to change the bylaw banning teachers from expressing political opinions in class. This follows the case of a high school teacher in northern Israel who was on the verge of losing his job because he said the IDF was sometimes immoral.
