Nassrallah: “Assad was ready to fight Israel”
Hezbollah leader Nassrallah is expected to revel a personal letter he received from Syrian President Assad in the summer of 2006, in which he writes that he is prepared to join the fight against Israel.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nassrallah is expected to interview tonight (Wednesday) on Iranian television network El-Miadeen, and present a letter sent to him in 2006 by Syrian President Basher Assad. According to him, in the letter was sent to him during the Second Lebanese war, Assad expressed his willingness to join Hezbollah and declare war on Israel in order to help the organization deal with the fighting in Lebanon.
At the same time, Nassrallah intends to reveal details about the job Lebanese terror activist, Imad Murniyeh, who was killed in a car explosion in Damascus in 2008, had during the war.
However, Nassrallah does not intend to speak only about the summer of 2006, but also about incident from the past few days. He is expected to speak among others about the incident from a week ago, in which four IDF soldiers were injured after crossing the border into Lebanon.
The four soldiers were lightly to moderately injured during activity on the Lebanese border in the unusual incident and were evacuated to hospital for treatment. The IDF spokesmanship said that the IDF was looking into the incident and will continue to keep the Lebanese border safe.
The Lebanese news agency reported that the soldiers were injured in a mine explosion, after entering Lebanese territory, about 150 meters past the border. According to the report, the incident took place near the village of Labone.
