The low-cost airline will operate two weekly flights each way, on Mondays and Thursdays, with schedules geared towards businesspeople and tourists. Tickets for these flights, which have gone on sale on April 19, are priced 37 euros from Tel Aviv to Manchester, and 82 euros for the return trip.

EasyJethas recently added two weekly flights to its Tel Aviv-London route, increasing the number of departures to nine. The airline’s operations also include flights between Tel Aviv, Geneva and Basel, Switzerland.

Since launching operations in Israel in 2009, the airline has shuttled over 270,000 passengers between its Israeli and European destinations.

„We’re excited to be expanding our Manchester operation by launching easyJet’s first route to Tel Aviv from the North West of England,” said Ali Gayward, easyJet’s commercial manager. „There is a very strong cultural link between the North West of England and Tel Aviv, with a large Jewish community in Manchester and the surrounding areas, and we hope this direct route will demonstrate our commitment to providing low cost flight options for popular routes.

„The service will offer great opportunities for both British and Israeli travelers wishing to travel between two of the world’s great cities,” she added.
