Unidentified shooters damage car but fail to injure passengers on outskirts of Ma’ale Shomron settlement; Police suspect shooting was act of terror

Unidentified assailants fired at an Israeli car leaving the West Bank settlement of Ma’ale Shomron on Saturday. No injuries were reported, but damage was caused to the car. The police suspect the attack was an attempted act of terror.
The police took the driver’s statement, and have launched an investigation. According to an initial inquiry, the shooter used a hunting rifle. The fire appeared to have come from the direction of the nearby village of Azzun.

Yesha Council Chairman Danny Dayan, who resides in the settlement, said he passed by the site of the shooting a short while before it took place.
