The decision states, „The Tanakh is where the Jewish people – in Israel and the Diaspora – was forged. The goals for its establishment are directed both inward toward Israeli society, and toward the peoples of the world and the academic community.”

According to the plan, the museum, which will also serve as a conference center, will feature manuscripts of the Bible that have been translated into 2,000 languages and dialects. It will also feature artistic drawings and photographs that tell the stories of the Bible; statues will be placed in its courtyard. Visitors will be asked to note their favorite verses from the Bible.

5. Pursuant to its 19 Dec 2010 and 26 June 2011 decisions, the Cabinet decided to ask the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee to approve the number of IDF soldiers doing their compulsory service to bodies and units outside the IDF.

As per the foregoing, the Cabinet approved draft amendments to the 2010 and 1986 Security Services laws and authorized the Ministerial Committee on Legislation to approve the final draft and submit it to the Knesset.
