President Peres Calls King of Norway to Express His Condolences on Behalf of Israel:

„In Israel we followed the events over the weekend in Norway and the attack on innocent civilians broke our hearts”

President Peres called the King of Norway, Harald V, and expressed the condolences of the
people of Israel on the shocking murders of innocent civilians in Norway. The
President opened the conversation with the King and said: „Your country is a
symbol of peace and freedom. In Israel we followed the events over the weekend
in Norway and the attack on innocent civilians broke our hearts. It is a painful
tragedy that touches every human being. We send our condolences to the families
that lost their loved ones and a speedy recovery to the wounded. Israel is
willing to assist in whatever is needed.”

The King of Norway updated President Peres about the ongoing investigation and said: „It is
a terrible tragedy for our entire nation. We are shocked and grieving as a
result of this despicable murder.”

The King thanked the President for his phone call and for the expression of Israeli
solidarity during this difficult time for the people of Norway.
