In 1956 following the Hungarian revolution about 2% of the population of Hungary fled to the West, including Jews.By 1967, only about 85,000 Jews remained in Hungary. The film ”The 1956 Hungarian Revolution” by the BBC (20:09 minutes) will follow the lecture.
