German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Saturday that the refugee crisis plaguing Europe is more difficult and dangerous than the Euro crisis but that Germany will continue to absorb refugees from Syia as long as they meet the criteria. She stresses that they are refugees and not immigrants, and will therefore be granted refugee status. Thousands of refugees continue to pour into Europe and many were bussed into Austria where they walked to other buses which took them to Vienna and then to Munich. Hungary is preparing to strengthen forces on its border. Analysts say that Europe will feel the effects of mass Muslim immigration only down the road.

 

The condition of the Palestinian woman seriously wounded in a West Bank arson attack five weeks ago, which killed her husband and infant son, deteriorated on Saturday, some five weeks after the attack, attributed to Jewish extremists. Palestinian President Machmoud Abbas has vowed to file a complaint with the International Court of Justice in Hague.

 

Twenty nine years after he was arrested for revealing secrets about Israel’s nuclear program, Mordechai Vanunu granted his very first interview in Hebrew, to Channel 2 News. Restricted in speech and movement by Israel’s government since his release from prison in 2004, Vanunu is petitioning the Israeli court to be allowed to leave the country to live with his wife in Norway. Former Shin Bet Director Avi Dichter said on Saturday that in any other country, Vanunu would not only be in prison, but in the grave. Authorities believe that Vanunu still possesses sensitive information about Israel’s nuclear program. The court will decide next month if Israel’s nuclear whistleblower will be allowed to emigrate from Israel.
