Likud results: Erden In, Feiglin and Hotoveli out

בלי כוכבים, בלי פנים חדשות ברשימה הארצית, כמעט בלי נשים: רשימת הליכוד לכנסת, שהתבהרה בתום יממה מייגעת של ספירת קולות ידנית, לא מביאה עמה הרבה חידושים והפתעות. הפנים החדשות היחידות יהיו נציגי המחוזות שדורגו במקומות הריאליים, ולמפלגת השלטון אין כמעט ייצוג נשי.
למרות שראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו פעל נגדה, מירי רגב הצליחה להפוך לאישה הראשונה של הליכוד – ובהפרש גדול מאוד מהמתחרות. רגב מדורגת במקום החמישי ברשימת הליכוד, גילה גמליאל נמצאת במקום ה-14 – והן הנשים היחידות במקומות ריאליים.

Gilad Erdan – big winner of Likud party Flash 90
Following yesterday’s primaries in the ruling party, the Likud – today results indicated, that the big winner is Interior Minister Gilad Erden. Erdan is followed by Yuli Edelstein, Israel Katz, Miri Regev and Silvan Shalom. Defense Minister Ya’alon reached the 7th place. MK Moshe Feiglin and Deputy Transport Minister Tzipi Hotoveli are out.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a victory speech this morning (Thursday) in Tel Aviv. He could not hide his pride from the list. „This is the best list of all parties, and will help us to win over the Left led by Herzog” he added. „We have balanced list that can continue to lead the State of Israel”.
Hours before the polls opened for the Likud primary elections on Wednesday morning, candidates had been hard at work behind the scenes to try and damage their political rivals’ chances of securing a high spot on the party’s Knesset list.

„There is vast activity to remove Minister Erdan, Levin and Edelstein off many of the support lists,” a source in the Likud said. „There are many unions and companies whose livelihood depends on Minister Katz, and there’s fear within the Likud that the lists are compiled as a result of fear among delegates rather than relevant considerations.”
Katz’s office said in response that „these are blatant lies. The minister’s allies are not working against anyone”.
