Eurosatory 2014: The Largest Ever Israel National Pavilion – with a Record Participation of 30 Companies

The Israel Pavilion, Organized by SIBAT, Encompasses a Wide Range of Advanced Solutions to Combat Asymmetric Warfare in Urban Areas

SIBAT – the International Defense Cooperation Division of the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) –  is once again promoting global cooperation with Israeli defense companies, this time at Eurosatory 2014, to be held in Paris, June 16-20. Thirty (30) companies – a record number for Israel’s National Pavilion, located in Hall 6, Stand E571 – will present advanced solutions to combat asymmetric warfare in urban areas, in response to the critical needs and developing trends among today’s armed forces.
According to the Director of SIBAT, Brig. Gen. (IAF, Res.) Shmaya Avieli: „Today’s terror threats have created the vital need for solutions to counter asymmetric warfare, in urban areas and elsewhere, with existing technologies. Responding to this worldwide demand, the Israeli defense industry brings to the global market a wide range of cost-effective, lightweight, portable, and easy-to-operate solutions that meet the need to combat territorial incursions and secure borders.  Solutions range from robotics to unmanned air and ground platforms, detection systems, and advanced tracking – which enable significant savings on operational costs and personnel for additional systems – as well as protective solutions  to safeguard forces in the field.
Israel is a world leader in precision weaponry that can reduce collateral damage, protecting uninvolved parties. To this end, the Israeli defense industry has developed various means of early detection that deliver advance warning – enabling the use of very precise long and short range weapon systems.

Israel also has a proven capability for active defense – including the Arrow system, the Trophy, the Iron Dome, and other cutting-edge systems.
In an era where budgetary savings are crucial, solutions that were originally developed for use by the military have been adapted for civilian use – and are being utilized to protect the public as well as sensitive facilities.

We invite everyone to visit the Israel National Pavilion and to learn about our wide range of smart and sophisticated solutions for combating today’s most challenging threats.”
