The preparatory meeting between Israeli and Palestinian teams to arrange the meeting between Prime Minister Sharon and his Palestinian counterpart, ended earlier today (Sunday), 14.3.2004. The Director of Prime Minister Ariel Sharons Bureau, Dov Weisglass, the Prime Ministers Diplomatic Adviser, Shalom Turgeman and Assi Shariv were present for the Israeli side; Saeb Erekat, Hassan Abu Libdeh and Salah Alenan were present for the Palestinian side.
The meeting took place in a pleasant but serious atmosphere, and a number of issues were resolved. The sides agreed to meet again tomorrow in order to settle on the final agenda for the meeting between the Prime Ministers.
