(Communicated by the IL. Health Ministry Spokesman)

Health minister Danny Nave today (Monday) 28.4.2003, in a meeting with the Head of the Airports Authority and the Airline companies, gave instructions that in the next few days, every passenger arriving on a direct flight from one of the ‘dangerous’ countries (China, Hong Kong and Toronto) will undergo a physical examination by a medical team located at the airport.

In addition, every passenger will fill out a form giving contact details in the event that there is a suspected SARS case on their flight. From today, any passenger arriving in Israel and is suspected of having contracted the virus will be immediately hospitalized in isolation.
