Come celebrate the historical reenactment of the celebration of the 29th of November!
Tuesday, November 29th, 2011 (3rd of Kislev 5772), 1:30 pm, 48 King George Street, Jerusalem.
Recreate the joy the Jewish people experienced 64 years ago when the United Nations General Assembly
voted to recognize the establishment of a Jewish State in the land of Israel. This revolutionary vote gave
the British Empire one year to leave the country, paving the way for the creation of the State of Israel.
People of all ages and from all walks of life celebrated this important milestone in the Jewish people’s dream to reestablish
an independent country after almost 2,000 years of statelessness.
Join us now, 64 years later, as we re-enact this joyous occasion in the plaza of the National Institutions in downtown Jerusalem with live music, entertaining street performers and and special guest appearances!
Guests Speakers:
Mr. Natan Sharansky, Chairman of the Jewish Agency
Mr. Avraham Duvdevani, Chairman of the World Zionist Organization
Mr. Yaakov Hagoel, Head of the Department for Activities in Israel and Countering Antisemitism of the WZO.
Member of Knesset Danny Danon, Chairman of the Knesset Committee for Aliyah, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs.
The event will take place on Tuesday, the 3rd of Kislev 5772 (November 29th, 2011)
at 1:30pm at the plaza of the National Institutions, 48 King George Street , Jerusalem
