Prime Minister Sharon told US President Bush

Prime Minister Sharon told US President Bush that the recent terror attacks in Israel, like those against Western targets in Saudi Arabia and against Jewish targets in Morocco, show all of us the brutal enemy that we are dealing with.

The Prime Minister also told the US President that while he is determined to move forward and, in the end, achieve quiet, security and a genuine peace for both peoples, terror must be defeated and quiet assured in order to make this possible. Prime Minister Sharon updated US President Bush on his meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Abu Mazen, and said that additional meetings will be held soon in order to examine how progress can be achieved in the security sphere. US President Bush told Prime Minister Sharon that he is determined to move forward on his vision of two states for two peoples living side by side in peace and security, and added that it is clear that the Palestinians must seriously fight terror so that it will be possible to make progress. Prime Minister Sharon and US President Bush agreed to meet in Washington; the Prime Minister told the US President that he is dispatching the Director of his bureau, Dov Weisglass, to Washington tonight in order to continue the dialogue with the US administration and move the process forward.
