A rakéták az Akkó és Naharia közötti térségben, egy lakatlan ház mellett robbantak, két kisgyerek könnyebben megsérült. A rakétákat az izraeli tüzérség bemérése szerint a dél-libanoni Dheira faluból, vagy annak közeléből lőtték ki, 3 kilométerre északra az izraeli határtól. A robbanások dörejét a haifai öbölig lehetett hallani.

Izrael tüzérségi tűzzel válaszolt a támadásra.

Izrael szigorú hangú jegyzékben tiltakozott az ENSZ libanoni békefenntartó egységénél, hangsúlyozva, hogy az eseményért a libanoni kormányt tartja felelősnek.

A libanoni hatóságok vizsgálatot indítottak a kilövés feltételezett helyszínén.

Szíriai területről éjjel fél kettőkor öt rakétát lőttek a Golán fennsíkra. A régió valamennyi településén megszólaltak a légvédelmi szirénák.

Nem ismeretes, hogy volt-e logisztikai kapcsolat a libanoni, illetve szíriai területről indított rakétatámadások között.

Szombaton több, mint száz rakétát lőttek a Gázai-övezetből izraeli területre.

Beér Sévában szombaton este két ember sérült meg egy rakéta lezuhanó szilánkjaitól.

Egy rakéta telibe találta Nachal-Oz kibuc közösségi ebédlőjét, amelyben senki nem tartózkodott. Ugyanebben a kibucban érte halálos sebesülés pénteken este a négyéves Daniel Tregermant, akinek a temetésére ma, vasárnap reggel 9 órakor került sor.

Five rockets were fired from Syria overnight Saturday and exploded near communities in the Golan Heights. The IDF said that there were no physical injuries in the attacks. Three sirens were heard in local communities before the rockets exploded. One power line sustained damage and residents reported power outages. In July, a rocket was fired from Syria but, according to the IDF Spokesperson, it exploded on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights and did not hit Israeli territory. That incident came a few days a mortar shell from Syria was fired towards the Israeli side of the Golan Heights and exploded near the Druze village of Mas’ade. The mortar shell exploded in an open area, causing no physical injuries or damages. The attack comes several hours after a rocket was fired from Lebanon and struck the Upper Galilee. No physical injuries or damage were reported. Following the attack, Israel fired mortar shells towards the source of the fire in southern Lebanon.

Since Operation Protective Edge began, at least nine have been fired into Israel from Lebanon; the Lebanese Army arrested several terrorists involved in at least one salvo on the Galilee, but also complained to mediating body UNIFIL after the IAF responded to the attacks. Earlier Saturday night, several volleys were fired at the Gush Dan and coastal regions; the Iron Dome intercepted two rockets over Tel Aviv. No injuries or damage were reported. A four-year-old child was killed by a mortar shell fired from Gaza on Friday. More than 90 rockets were fired into southern Israel on Saturday, with a focus on Gaza Belt communities. Dozens of rockets were fired toward Sderot, Ashkelon, Nahal Oz, Yad Mordehai, Be’er Sheva, and the surrounding communities; no injuries were reported.
