Israel’s FM in Cyprus to discuss the establishment of a regional assistance force

JERUSALEM (EJP)—Israel’s Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman is on a three-day visit to Cyprus for talks with Cypriot President Demetris Christofias, Foreign Minister Dr. Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis, and Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Neoklis Sylikiotis.

The minister will discuss with his hosts advancing the establishment of a regional assistance force to deal with emergency situations, in order that it will be ready for actual deployment when needed.

 

On Wednesday he will visit the desalination plant in Episkopi, near the southern coastal town of Limassol.
