________________________________________ Yediot Ahronot comments on the numerous meetings that are taking place between various Israeli and Palestinian sources at all political and military levels, and is hopeful that a ceasefire might result. The editors believe that, This time, as opposed to the last, the ceasefire must be combined as much as possible with diplomatic expectations. If the ceasefire is properly enforced for a significant period of time, a positive dynamic is likely to be created on both sides, which will weaken the extremists. And mainly: to give hope and not just to the Palestinian public. The paper urges both sides not to demand unrealistic from the other since the talks are sure to fail in such a situation, and reminds its readers that if we miss yet another opportunity we will only be left with Arafat. Hatzofeh praises the National Labor Court ruling postponing the strike and says that It gives both sides, the Treasury and the Histadrut, a chance to climb down from their high horse and begin real talks on reaching a settlement. The editors regret that The argument, as it has been conducted until now, has crossed all acceptable boundaries, and urges both sides to take steps to help the Israeli economy to recover.BPI.
