I’m so pleased that TACHLIS is back after a few months break. A lot has happened since our last newsletter but without a doubt, the highlight after the past few months was our most recent WUJS Congress.
Congress 2017 brought together over 150 Jewish student activists from well over 30 countries; it was undoubtedly the largest Congress we have held in close to 10 years. Participants grappled and engaged with the biggest issues facing Jewish students, they shared best practice and networked with their peers.
As we begin April, Pesach – the festival of our liberation – is fast approaching. I hope that it will be a,great reminder of what Jewish student activism, fighting for the freedom of the Jewish people to live and practice in any way we choose.
