A video aired Wednesday on Hamas-run Al-Aqsa TV showed terrorists from the group’s Izz a-Din al-Kassam Brigades producing home-grown rockets to be used in attacks on Israel. The footage translated by the media monitoring NGO MEMRI depicts Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida claiming that Gaza’s ruling Islamist faction had replenished its supply of projectiles despite the dozens of strikes carried out on Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and Haifa, during the IDF’s operation against terror operatives in the Palestinian enclave. „Your defeatist leadership claimed to have destroyed our rocket capability. However, despite the aggression, our production continues – from the workshop to the battlefield,” a Hamas member says in the clip. Israel has remained firm in its call for the demilitarization of Gaza as a condition to a lasting cease-fire agreement with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Hundreds of residents of the southern town of Sderot have signed complaint forms against terror group Hamas, to be sent to the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva. Volunteers and representatives of grassroots Zionist movement Im Tirtzu went to the open air market in Sderot Tuesday to help residents fill in complaint forms against Hamas and Qatar, Hamas’ main financial sponsor. Im Tirtzu will send out an international petition calling for Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon to prosecute the leaders of Hamas. The petition already has more than 13,000 signatures from dozens of countries around the world. This initiative comes in response to the establishment of the Schabas Commission that will investigate the Israel Defense Forces’ actions during Operation Protective Edge. This investigative committee will likely resemble the Goldstone Commission that stated Israel and the IDF overstepped international law during Operation Cast Lead. Hundreds of Sderot residents stopped at the market stand to sign complaint forms charging the terrorist organization Hamas with war crimes. Among the complaintants were citizens whose homes were damaged by rockets, parents whose children suffer from anxiety, civilians who were physically or mentally injured, and those who suffered property damage due to rocket fire.
