Congratulations! Yesterday the new official French and Russian Twitter accounts were launched.

The new French account is the official Twitter account for the Israel Defense Forces in French in addition to Lieutenant Sacha Dratwa’s existing account in French while the new Russian account is the official Twitter account of Captain Anna Ukolova, head of the Russia Media Desk in the IDF Spokesperson Unit.

The Official Twitter Account of the Israel Defense Forces in French

Part of the IDF Spokesperson Unit’s goal is to bring the news and updates of the Israel Defense Forces to the world in the most efficient way. One of the ways in which we accomplish this is by utilizing and taking advantage of social media and its benefits.

This complements the existing official Twitter accounts already in English, French and Arabic, launched July, 2011.
