Fairs and Festivals
Court-yard fair in Gozsdu Udvar – Similar to the other art-markets of the world’s big cities such as the Portobello Market in London, the Via Margutta in Rome, the Shuk HaCarmel and the Shenkin Street in Israel or the Mercatino di Campo Santa Margherita in Venice a fair and street-market will be held, spiced with street theatre and musical productions every Sunday from spring until autumn in 2010. Budapest is an extremely popular town for tourists because it offers a wide selection of gorgeous sights and exciting events, however, until now, it lacked a market where people could find a cure for their desire. The bazaar welcomes all with a great variety of exhibitors, vendors, gastronomy and entertaining performances. The Gozsdu court-yard, which was just recently renovated, is located between the four-story buildings of 13, Király Street and 16, Dob Street and is made up of the six court yards connecting them. This Art-nouveau–Jugendstil passage is a unique shopping street in the down-town area and is frequented by locals and foreigners alike, just a few minutes walk from one of the busiest parts of Budapest, Deák square and Andrássy Avenue. Location: Gozsdu Udvar
– 1074 Budapest, Király u. 13. More information available on: www.gouba.hu
